As Bharat Fibre services are available both in Urban and some Rural Areas of the country, it is still not available in various Rural areas of the country.
Therefore BSNL launched Bharat Air Fibre for such areas. The main aim was to develop the villages and bring them up by providing them Internet Connections.

How Does BSNL Air Fiber Work?
BSNL Bharat Air Fiber works on an unlicensed spectrum and has not been licensed to any entity. Since unlicensed has very low interference, the relay quality should be good for the subscribers as there is a very low disturbance for these types of airwaves.
BSNL Bharat Air Fiber requires no optical Fiber laying and splicing as it uses Wi-Fi Technology (point-to-point/point-to-multipoint) to deliver ultra-fast wireless broadband at an affordable price. It is well suited for those areas where it is difficult to lay Optical Fiber.
BSNL also uses line-of-sight radio waves for Bharat Air Fiber to provide call services to customers. The absence of various signal-disturbing things in the village like wi-fi routers and microwave ovens makes it easier for Bharat Air Fiber to work.
How to apply for Bharat Air Fiber Online
- Visit https://bookmyfiber.bsnl.co.in/
- Under "Select Service" select Bharat Air Fiber.
- Select your circle.
- Enter Your Area Pin-Code.
- Then Enter your Name, Mobile Number, and Email address.
- You will get an OTP on the entered Mobile Number.
- Enter the received OTP and click on the Next button.
- Enter your location and click on register.
After completing the above-mentioned steps you"ll be able to see if the Bharat Air Fiber services are available in your area or not and You"ll get a call from the company and can proceed there.
In case you don't get any call from the company, it is suggested to contact the nearest BSNL customer center or you can even contact BSNL customer care numbers.
BSNL Bharat AirFiber's Plans and their Pricing
BSNL recently launched various plans for Bharat Air Fiber with speeds ranging from 30 to 80 MBPS
The name of the plans are :)

- Air Fiber Premium Plan
- Air Fiber Ultra Plan, and
- Air Fiber Ultra Plus Plan.
Earlier the BSNL was offering the same plans as that of Bharat Fiber but after taking the feedback from the customers they announced these exclusive plans for Bharat Air Fiber Customers.
Apart from giving internet connectivity BSNL Bharat Air Fiber also provides Calling and TV Services. BSNL partnered with Yupp TV for Television services, thus making it a triple-play service. Here are the Plans for Bharat Air Fiber.
BSNL Air Fiber Basic Plan
The BSNL Air Fiber Basic Plan offers unlimited data download at 30MBPS speed till 3300GB after that the speed will be reduced to 2MBPS. Other than the data download this plan also offers a free calling service within the country. Whereas the charge for international calls is 1.2 INR per minute.
The price of the Bharat Air fiber Basic plan is 499 INR per month, If you will buy a yearly plan the price of that plan is 5988 INR plus you will get one month free with this plan.

BSNL Air Fiber Basic Plus Plan
The BSNL Air Fiber Basic Plus Plan offers unlimited data downloads. The speed of the plan is 40MBPS to 3300GB after that you will get a constant 4MBPS speed. Other than the Internet services this plan also offers free calling services within the country just like the previous one. While you will have to pay 1.2 INR per minute for international calls
The price of the BSNL Air fiber Basic Plus Plan is 699 INR per month. whereas the price of the 12-month subscription is 8,388 INR with the annual BSNL Air Fiber offers free one month for free, which means you will get 13 months of subscription on the yearly plan.
BSNL Air Fifbre Value Plan
Air Fiber Value plan is for those customers who need higher data speed. It also offers unlimited data download. This plan offers a high data speed of 50MBPS capped at 3.3TB after that users will get a constant speed of 6MBPS. Just like the older plans this also gets Free calling services within the country.
The Monthly price of the value pack is 889 INR. Whereas if you will buy a manual plan you will have to pay 10,788 INR with the annual plan you will get one month extra.
BSNL Air Fiber Premium Plan
This was once a Top-of-the-line plan. This plan unlimited data download. The download speed Air Fiber Premium Plan is 70 MBPS to 3300 GB after that you will get a constant 10 MBPS speed. Users will get unlimited voice calls on this plan as well.
The Air Fiber Premium Plan is priced at 1199 INR per month. If you buy a 12-month subscription plan you will get this plan at 14,388 INR with the annual plan you will get an extra month free.
BSNL Air Fiber Ultra Plan
Air Fiber Ultra plan is for the commercial sector. This plan also offers unlimited data downloads. The download speed of the Air Fiber Ultra Plan is 80 MBPS capped at 5000GB after that the download speed will be reduced to 15 MBPS. This plan also has unlimited voice-calling support within the country.
The Price of this is 2995 INR. If you want to go for an annual subscription plan you will have to pay 35,940 INR. Just like other plans, you will get one month free with this plan.
BSNL Air Fiber Ultra Plus Plan
Air Fiber Ultra Plus Plan is currently a top-of-the-line plan in the Air Fiber line. Just like other plans it also offers unlimited data download. With this plan, you will get a speed of 80 MBPS To 8500GB after that the speed will be reduced to 15 MBPS. This plan also offers free and unlimited calling services within the country.
The Price of this plan is 6995 INR. The annual plan's price is 83,940 INR. with the annual plan you will get one month extra.
Caution: The above-mentioned charges are inclusive of GST. also, customers will get calling services either through App or on a Regular phone attached through CPE, But not on both).
BSNL Air Fiber Installation Charges and Device Price
The installation charge for Bharat Air Fiber is RS 500. Although, BSNL is providing free installation services for AiFiber customers for a shorter period. Although installation charges may be zero you have to pay for a wi-fi router.
Earlier this year BSNL announced its promotional scheme for free installation of AirFiber connections till 30th Apr. 2021. After seeing the overwhelming response of the people BSNL has announced to extend the date further till 3rd Aug. 2021. There is no clarity on whether this promotional scheme is currently active or not, You will contact BSNL for this.
On choosing the Basic Plan of Air Fiber you will have to pay 500 INR as a security deposit and 18% GST
Hence, If you will choose AirFiber Basic plan your First Bill Will Be
Security deposit - 499 INR + 499 INR (one-month subscription) + 18% GST = 1178 INR (approx.)
The billing period of AirFiber is from the 1st to the last day of the month ( i.e. from the 1st to 31st or 1st to 30th day)
Availability In Urban Areas
No, BSNL Bharat AirFiber is not available in urban areas. The BSNL has made care statements that the Bharat AirFiber is for rural areas
If you are willing to get Air Fiber but you are living in an urban area you can go for Bhat Fiber which is a wired (optical fiber) broadband connection of the BSNL.

DeleteI had raised the request for BSNL airfiber through BSNL App on 02nd May 2023. I got contact details of Agency which takes contract for BSNL airfibre installation. Agency told me it would cost me around 18k. In this, agency will install a device to the nearest BSNL Tower(this device will be facing towards my home), another device will fitted facing towards the BSNL Tower(which is around 4 KM from my home) and they will install router in my home. I'm not sure why I have to pay for the device to be filled on BSNL Tower.
